British psychedelic rock band Wolf People is fronted by singer/guitarist Jack Sharp. The group’s name is inspired by the children’s book, Little Jacko and the Wolf People. The music they create is an ode to the bluesy psychedelia of Black Sabbath, Cream, Traffic, and early Jethro Tull and Fairport Convention. Other members of Wolf People include drummer Tom Watt, guitarist Joe Hollick and bassist Dan Davies. Prior to becoming the first British band to sign with indie label Jagjaguwar, the group released several singles and EPs. Wolf People released the Tidings collection and their first studio album, Steeple, in the same year. Tidings is a compilation of different songs Sharp created before the band signed to Jagjaguwar. Wolf People’s follow-up album, Fain, included more theatrical and psychedelic elements. Most recently, the band recorded Ruins, a fuzzed-out and rich collection of ballads about nature reclaiming the land.
