Jeanne Galice, better known by her stage name Jain, is a singer and composer from from the city of Toulouse in France. As a child, Jain did a lot of moving around because her father had jobs in a lot of different countries; she lived in locations like France, Dubai, the Congo, and Abu Dhabi, among other places. Her travels undoubtedly had an impact on her musical style, as she picked up many musical techniques along the way, including percussion in the Middle East, the musical style of the Congo, and how to play the drums in Pau, which is located in the Pyrenees. While she was residing in Pointe-Noire, Congo-Brazzaville, she began creating music for the purpose of demo recordings. It was around this time that she got into contact with the French record producer Mr. Flash. She began releasing her early music on the website MySpace at the beginning of her career. Her songs on MySpace is what initially drew the attention of Dready, who is now her manager. Yodelice, a French singer and composer, was another one of the people who came across her work. Yodelice ended up playing a significant part in the launch of Jain's professional career. He invited Jain to join him on tour as a supporting artist, and the two of them sang a duet together on an episode of Taratata. The song they sang was titled "Redemption Song." The song "Come" from the EP Hope that was released by Jain was highly successful at its initial release, and it was also featured on the Netflix horror comedy series The Santa Clarita Diet.
