He’s most famous for rubber-faced comedy characters and was influenced by Red Skelton. Some of his characters include Jiffy Jeff, Eppy Epperman, Wilby Stuckinson, and an entire football team of stereotypical characters. Nelson worked with Rodney Dangerfield as his opening act for 8 years and was even seen in a few up his HBO showcases along with Jerry Seinfeld, and Bob Saget. This led to Nelson gaining two HBO specials of his own. Apart from working with Dangerfield, Nelon was also in a comedy group called “The Identical Triplets”, where he worked with Eddie Murphy and Rob Bartlett. Nelson once had a meeting with Red Skelton where Skelton told him to stop using swear words in his stand-up, because of this meeting Skelton became a clean actor. Nelson has performed all over the country and had the great honor to perform at the Ford Theater in Washington D.C. for president Ronald Reagan.
