Gavin Lynch, better known as Matador, is a Dublin-born electronic music producer and DJ. He’s acquired a reputation for versatility and has amassed a loyal fan base of techno clubbers and peers from around the world. In his teens, Lynch began collecting records and taught himself to DJ on any piece of equipment he could afford. Eventually he attended Dublin’s Sound Training Centre where he studied electronic music production. His career really took off after he was signed to Richie Hawtin’s Minus label under which he released ‘Kingswing’ and ‘Spooks’. Lynch has also made a name for himself as a breath-taking live performer; he’s won the DJ Awards ‘Best Live Performer’ award twice. Lynch now has his own label, RUKUS, and performs at the top clubs and festivals around the world including Awakenings, Tomorrowland, Sonus Croatia, Ultra, Output, DC-10, Space Ibiza, and Stereo Montreal.
