Default is a Canadian rock band from Vancouver, British Columbia, that consists of members Dallas Smith, Jeremy Hora, Dave Benedict and Danny Craig. The band is a mixture of hard rock, grunge, alternative rock and alternative metal. They were discovered by Chad Kroeger, who is the lead vocalist of Canadian band Nickelback, when he discovered their demo tape. Kroeger went on to help them produce their first and second albums. Default rose to fame with the release of their debut single, “Wasting My Time” which peaked at the top of the charts in Canada, US, Australia, New Zealand, UK and Netherlands. Wasting My Time was featured on Default’s debut studio album, “The Fallout” which peaked at number 1 on the US Indie charts and earned them MC certified platinum as well as RIAA certified platinum. Their second album, “Elocation” peaked at number 3 on the US Indie charts and earned them MC certified gold. Since then, they’ve released two more albums; “One Thing Remains” and “Comes and Goes”.
