Fawcett was born in Inglewood, California, and she began her career playing soccer in high school where her team won four league championships. From there, Fawcett went on to study at University of California, Berkeley, where she played soccer as well and was a three-time, first team All-American. After graduating from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in Physical Education, Fawcett went on to begin playing for Ajax where she helped them to win the U.S. women’s amateur championship. Fawcett then went on to sign to play for San Diego Spirit in the women’s United Soccer Association. Apart from her career playing, Fawcett has also been a head coach at UCLA and has appeared in the HBO documentary “Dare to Dream: The Story of the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team”..
