Tim Ream is an American professional soccer player who currently plays center back for the English Championship club Fulham as well as for the United States national team. Ream was born in St. Louis, Missouri and he began his career playing soccer in high school where he was named All-State, All-Conference and Class 2 Defensive Player of the Year and he helped lead his school to win the Missouri Class 2 state title. Around the same time he also played for the club St. Louis Scott Gallagher where he won the national championships two years in a row. Ream went on to begin playing for Saint Louis University where he earned NSCAA first-team All-Region and second-team All-Conference honors. While in college, Ream also played for Chicago Fire Premier in the USL Premier Development League. From there, Ream was drafted 18th overall in the MLS SuperDraft by the New York Red Bulls and while with the Red Bulls, Ream was named Defender of the Year and was a candidate for MLS Rookie of the Year.
