Koppelman is best known for being the co-writer of films “Ocean’s Thirteen” and “Rounders”. He is also known for being the producer for the films “The Lucky Ones,” and “The Illusionist.” He has also been the co-creator, showrunner, and executive producer of the Showtime television series “Billions”. Koppelman’s father was a producer and media executive and Koppelman went on to earn degrees from Tufts University and Fordham University School of Law. Koppelman started his career managing local bands as a teenager and would also book bands at a local nightclub. This led to him meeting Eddie Murphy whom he held earn his first record deal. While studying at Tufts, Koppelman helped Tracy Chapman to executive-produce her first album which led him to work for Giant Records and also be an A&R representative for labels such as Giant Records, EMI Records, Elektra Records and SBK Records.
