CeCe Peniston is an American singer-songwriter and actress who is best known for her hit single “Finally,” which peaked at number 5 on the Hot 100 as well as number 2 in the UK Top 75. Peniston was born in Dayton, Ohio, but was raised in Phoenix, Arizona. While growing up, Peniston began singing at her local church and in school; she would perform in plays and musicals.
