Tony Gonzalez is an American former professional football tight end who is currently a football analyst for Fox Sports. Gonzalez was born in Torrance, California, and he began his career playing both football and basketball in high school. As a senior he was a first-team All-America selection and shared the Orange County High School Athlete of the Year with Tiger Woods. Gonzalez went on to play college football and basketball with University of California, Berkeley, where he majored in communications.
