Walgreen Distinguished Service Professor of Behavioral Science and Economics at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Thaler was born in East Orange, New Jersey, and he earned his B.A. from Case Western Reserve University before going on to earn his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Rochester. After college, Thaler went on to begin his career working as a professor at the University of Rochester. Thaler went on to be a faculty member at the SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University before working for University of Chicago where he has been ever since. As an author, Thaler has published several books on the subject of behavioral economics which include ‘Quasi Rational Economics,’ ‘Advances in Behavioral Finance, Volume II,’ and ‘Misbehaving: The Making of Behavioral Economics.’ Thaler has also had numerous of published papers in various journals such as the Journal of Economic Perspectives, The Quarterly Journal of Economics, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, The Journal of Fianance, and many more.
