Greg Daniels is an American screenwriter, television producer, and director, who is best known for his work on comedy television series such as “The Office,” “The Simpsons,” “Parks and Recreation,” “King of the Hill,” and “Saturday Night Live.” Daniels was born in New York City and he went on to study at Harvard University where he wrote for the Harvard Lampoon alongside comedian Conan O’Brien. After graduating, Daniels went on to work for Not Necessarily the News with O’Brien, but were soon fired due to budget cuts. Shortly after, the duo met Lorne Michaels which led to them both working on the writing staff for Saturday Night Live. During his time writing for SNL, Daniels won an Emmy Award. After leaving SNL, Daniels began writing for The Simpsons and King of the Hill. Some of Daniels’ work also includes directing series “The Mindy Project,” and producing and directing series “People of Earth.” Most recently, Daniels has been creator, producer and director of “Upload” and co-creator and producer of “Space Force.” Over the course of his career, Daniels has won four Emmy Awards..
