Sydel Curry-Lee is an American entrepreneur, tastemaker, and athlete who is a former college volleyball player who has played for the Elon Phoenix women’s volleyball team of the CAA Conference. Sydel was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, and she is the younger sister of NBA basketball stars, Steph Curry and Seth Curry. Sydel began playing volleyball at only five years old and during her high school career she was a captain and started and led her team to two Southern Section Division IV titles and was named NSCAA High School All-American and Parade Magazine All-American. She went on to play college volleyball at Elon University but had to stop after suffering from an ACL injury. After she began playing again, she led the team to the CAA and earned CAA Most Improved Player and was also named to the first-team All-CAA and was named to the CAA Offensive Player of the Week honors. During her ACL injury, Lee began to rethink a career as a professional athlete and began focusing on her physical and mental health. She then began focusing on her own lifestyle brand on social media where she talks on topics such as food, mental health, family, and faith, and has her own Facebook Watch show, “Sydel Takes On.” She has also is set to release her own wine company, Domaine Curry Femme 31, with her sister-in-law Ayesha Curry..
