Amp Lee is a former professional American running back who played nine seasons in the NFL and is also a football coach. Lee was born in Chipley, Florida, and he began his career playing college football at Florida State. After graduating from college, Lee went on to be drafted in the 2nd round as the 45th pick by the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL draft. Lee played for the 49ers for a season before being traded to the Minnesota Vikings. From there, he went on to play for the St. Louis Rams and the Philadelphia Eagles before retiring with the Detroit Lions which he didn’t professionally play with. While with the 49ers, Lee was known for catching Joe Montana’s final touchdown pass for the 49ers. While with the Minnesota Vikings, Lee caught 71 receptions and while with the Rams, he helped them to win the Super Bowl and was also named the St. Louis Rams MVP. Since retiring as a player, Lee has gone on to work as a coach. As a coach, Lee has been a running back coach for the Amsterdam Admirals and Berlin Thunder of the NFL Europe team and has also been the running back coach for the Las Vegas Locomotives of the United Football League..
