Dean Spanos is the son of Alex Spanos, and is the chairman and owner of the NFL team, the Los Angeles Chargers and it’s franchise. Spanos was born in Stockton, California, and he studied at Lincoln High School where he played in football and golf and later earned the Lincoln High Hall of Fame Award. He also went on to earn his degree from the University of the Pacific. Spanos was named as team president and CEO of the Chargers after his father stepped down in the mid 90’s. Since being under Spanos leadership, the Chargers has won 113 games including 5 AFC West championships and four playoff game wins. Spanos has gone on to give control of the Chargers to his sons but is still chairman of the team. During his ownership the Charges moved from San Diego to Los Angeles after the team couldn’t find a stadium in San Diego.
