Our Lady J is an American classical pianist, television writer, and singer-songwriter who is best known for being the writer and producer of the FX television series “Pose,” and for being the writer and producer of the Amazon television series “Transparent.” As a classical pianist, Our Lady J has worked with artists and Broadway stars over the years, which include Sia, Lady Gaga, Chita Rivera, Justin Vivian Bond, and many more. Our Lady J was born in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and studied at the Interlochen Center for the Arts where she majored in piano. Later on in life, she moved to New York City where she was an accompanist and a few years later, she became the musical director and accompanist for Natalie Joy Johnson.
