Gideon Raff is an Israeli film and television director, screenwriter, and writer from Jerusalem. Raff is best known for creating the television series “Prisoners of War,” which later co-developed into the American television series “Homeland.” He is also known for writing and directing the mini-series “The Spy.” Raff began his career serving as a paratrooper in the Israel Defensive Forces before going on to earn a degree in film from Tel Aviv University. He then started working in IT and also did some writing for an Israeli newspaper before moving to Los Angeles. While in Los Angeles, Raff earned a graduate degree in directing from the American Film Institute and his graduation short film, “The Babysitter,” premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.
