Sloan is a Canadian rock band from Halifax, Nova Scotia, that is currently based out of Toronto, Ontario. The band currently consists of members Chris Murphy, Patrick Pentland, Jay Ferguson, and Andrew Scott and they came together in the early 90’s before going on to release their debut EP, “Peppermint.” They followed Peppermint shortly after with their debut studio album, “Smeared,” which peaked at number 72 on the Canadian charts and earned them certified gold. Sloan’s next three albums; “Twice Removed,” “One Chord to Another,” and “Navy Blues,” all earned Canadian certified gold as well. Since Navy Blues, Sloan has gone on to release eight more albums over the years but didn’t hit international attention until the release of the album, “Never Hear the End of It,” which peaked at number 48 on the US Heatseekers chart.
