Rich Eisen is an American television journalist who is best known for his work on the NFL Network and for being a television and radio host for various outlets such as NFL Now, DirecTV, Fox Sports Radio, and Sirius XM. Eisen was born in Brooklyn, New York, and he has earned his B.A. from University of Michigan and his M.S. in journalism from Northwestern University. While at the University of Michigan, Eisen was the co-sports editor of the school’s paper, which is what led him to pursue a career as a sports journalist. Early in his career Eisen went on to become a staff writer for papers such as Staten Island Advance and Chicago Tribune before going on to be a sports anchor and reporter for a local station in Redding, California. Shortly after, he earned his biggest job yet working for ESPN where he was known for being a host of “Beg, Borrow & Deal,” and for his work with ESPN Radio. After working with ESPN for several years, Eisen went on to work for the NFL Network where he has been since. While with the NFL Network, Eisen has been host of NFL Total Access, NFL GameDay Morning, NFL GameDay Highlights, and Thursday Night Football.
