Dan Quinn is an American football coach who is currently head coach for the Atlanta Falcons of the NFL. Quinn was born in Morristown, New Jersey, and he began his career playing high school football before going on to play college football at Salisbury State where he was a defensive lineman. He went on to be co-awarded the Bobby Richards award and has since been inducted into the Salisbury University athletics Hall of Fame. Quinn then began his career as a coach first working as a defensive line coach for William & Mary. From there, Quinn went on to work as the defensive line coach for VMI and was then the defensive line coach and defensive coordinator for Hofstra. After leaving Hofstra, Quinn began his career working as a coach in the NFL where he first began working as a defensive quality control for the San Francisco 49ers and then a defensive line coach. Since then he has worked as the defensive line coach for teams which include the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets. He has also been a defensive line coach, defensive coordinator and assistant head coach for the Seattle Seahawks before joining the Atlanta Falcons as head coach. Quinn has also previously worked as the defensive coordinator and defensive line coach for the University of Florida. During his time with the Seahawks, Quinn helped them to win a Super Bowl championship and with the Falcons he has won a Salute to Service Award..
