Chris Kluwe is a former American professional football punter and writer who has played in the NFL. Kluwe was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and he began his career playing high school football where he was the USA Today High School All-American. He went on to play college football at the University of California, Los Angeles where he was a top punter in the Pac-10 Conference and was a finalist for the Ray Guy Award. Kluwe went on to go signed as an undrafted free agent by the Seattle Seahawks. Kluwe played well in the Seahawks training camp but was eventually placed on the waiver wire before being able to be signed where he was then picked up by the Minnesota Vikings. Kluwe spent a majority of his career playing for the Minnesota Vikings and also played for the Oakland Raiders but never in season. Kluwe finished his NFL career with 623 punts, 27,683 punt yards and with a 44.4 punting yard average. During his time with the Vikings, Kluwe set several team records.
