Henry was born in Dallas, Georgia, and he began his career playing high school football where he held the school’s record for longest punts at 66 yards and also helped lead his school to the state semi-finals as a quarterback. Henry went on to play college football at the University of Florida where he was a member of the BCS National Championship team, was a consensus first-team All-American, earned the Ray Guy Award, and was also a SEC Champion and a first-team All-SEC. Henry went on to go undrafted in the NFL draft but was then signed with the Philadelphia Eagles where he opened the NFL season as their starting punter.
