Ken Linseman, also known as “The Rat,” is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who played centre in the NHL for several years and also played one year in the WHA. Linseman was born in Kingston, Ontario, and he began his career playing junior hockey with the Kingston Canadians of the Ontario Major Junior Hockey League. From there, he went on to be drafted in the WHA draft by the Birmingham Bulls and he went on to play with the Bulls for a year before being drafted in the NHL draft by the Philadelphia Flyers. He first began playing with the Maine Mariners of the AHL before getting called up to play for the Flyers. Linseman went on to play for teams such as the Edmonton Oilers, Boston Bruins, and Toronto Maple Leafs.
