Horn was born in New Haven, Connecticut, and he began his career playing football in high school where he was voted to the Mid-South 4A All-Star team. He went on to play college football at Itawamba Community College where he picked up 54 catches for 878 yards and 7 touchdowns. After graduating from college, Horn didn’t play football for a few years until he was eventually signed to the Shreveport Pirates of the CFL. He also played for the Memphis Mad Dogs of the CFL as well before going on to be selected in the fifth round of the NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. During his NFL career, Horn went on to play for the New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Falcons. During his playing career he was a four-time Pro Bowl selection and has since been inducted into the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame. Since retiring from the NFL, Horn began his career as a coach at Northeast Mississippi Community College..
