Seidy Lopez is a Mexican-American actress and director from Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. When Lopez was four, her and her family moved to the United States and when she was 10 years old, her and her family moved back to Yucatan for a short time as her parents felt it was necessary to have them relearn Spanish and keep their culture. After moving back to the United States a few years later, Lopez began finding her love for performing when she was part of a singing group that won several competitions in Los Angeles. After a few years of performing in the group, Lopez went on to audition for the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts at California State University where she became a member of their vocal ensemble. Shortly after, Lopez began studying at the Hollywood High School of the Performing Arts where she found her love for acting and theater. Moving towards acting, Lopez made her television debut playing Consuelo in “Veronica Clare.” Since then, her television credits have gone on to include “Resurrection Blvd.,” “American Family,” “NCIS: Los Angeles,” “House M.D.,” “CSI: NY,” “The Bridge,” and has most recently played Marcella Quintanilla in “Selena: The Series.” Lopez has also acted in several films which include “My Family,” “Selena,” “Luminarias,” “Gabriela,” “Training Day,” and “Kings.”.
