Jon Foreman is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist who is best known for his rise to fame as a member, songwriter, and co-founder of the band Switchfoot. Through his fame with Switchfoot, the band became best known for their singles “Meant to Live” and “Dare You to Move.” Foreman was born in San Bernardino County, California, and later grew up in San Diego. He went on to begin studying at UC San Diego but dropped out to pursue a musical career. Apart from his career with Switchfoot, Foreman has contributed music and writing for Molly Jenson, has appeared on Relient K’s album, has co-written music for Karl Denson, and has worked with Ryan O’Neal.
