Debra Searle is a British adventurer, author, television presenter and speaker who is best known for having rowed across the Atlantic Ocean alone. Throughout her career, Searle has also founded five companies some of which include Well Hung Art Company, which promoted art work of smaller artists online, Shoal Projects Ltd, which managed Searle’s rowing career as well as other sports names, and MIX Diversity Developers Ltd, which is a consultancy firm that specializes in topics which include diversity and inclusion, cultural change and unconscious bias. Searle was born in Plymouth, Devon, and she began competing in expeditions while studying at Stover School. During this time she participated in the Ten Tors and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
