Redrado was born in Buenos Aires and he has earned his degree in economics from the University of Buenos Aires. Redrado then went on to earn his master’s in public administration from Harvard University before working as an advisor for the Salomon Brothers. While in Argentina, Redrado also oversaw the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange and was the Emerging Markets Committee President of the International Organization of Securities Commissions. Over the course of his career, Redrado has been named one of the 100 Leaders for the Next Millennium by Time Magazine. He has also published three economic books which include ‘Tiempos de desfios,’ ‘Como sobrevivir a la globalizacion,’ and ‘Exportar para crecer.’.
