Polly Walker is an English actress who is best known for her roles in television and film which include playing Annette in the film “Patriot Games,” Cassiopeia in the film “Clash of the Titans,” Sarkoja in the film “John Carter,” and playing Atia of the Julii in the television series “Rome,” the latter of which earned her a Golden Globe nomination. Walker was born in Warrington, Cheshire, England, and while growing up she took ballet lessons at Bush Davies School of Ballet and Performing Arts as well as at the Ballet Rambert School. After suffering from a leg injury, Walker had to give up dancing, which led her to pursue acting. She then went on to begin studying at the Drama Centre in London as well as at the Royal Shakespeare Company. Walker then went on to make her on screen debut in an episode of the television series “Storyboard.” Since then, Walker has gone on to act in numerous television series with credits that include “Screen Two,” “State of Play,” “Waking the Dead,” playing Ellis in “Cane,” Clarice in “Caprica,” Francesca in “Prisoners Wives,” Delphine Day in “Mr Selfridge,” Gill in “Line of Duty,” Lady Lunete in “Cursed,” and most recently has played Portia Featherington in the Netflix original series “Bridgerton,” and Peggy in the series “Pennyworth.” Apart from her roles in television, Walker’s film credits have included “Enchanted April,” “Sliver,” “Emma,” “Savage Messiah,” and more..
