John Craigie is an American folk singer-songwriter who has been known as a “Modern-Day Troubadour,” who plays in the style of iconic musicians such as Woody Guthrie, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, and more. Craigie was born in Los Angeles, California, and he began his career studying at UC Santa Cruz where he also began performing music locally. He previously began playing with a local band in Santa Cruz called, Pond Rock, where they performed original songs as well as covers. Craigie later broke off to perform his own music and went on to build a following from performing at venues and festivals which include Burning Man, High Sierra Music Festival, Sisters Folk Festival, and Oregon Country Fair.
