Elizabeth Humfrey, better known as her stage name Betsy is a Welsh singer-songwriter from Pembrokeshire, Wales. Betsy was raised on a goose farm in Nevern, Wales, and she found a love for music at a young age and began singing in school as well as at church. Her father and uncle performed in local bands and she later enrolled in a course in Womenswear at London’s Central St Martins art college. This led her to earn an internship at Balenciaga, and she then went on to begin working as a designer for Balenciaga’s catwalk shows. Although she found herself successful in business, Betsy couldn’t shake away the musical bug she had grown so she went on to leave her work at Balenciaga to begin writing and producing her own music. She ended up producing a three-track demo and she began sending them out to various musical industry figures before begin signed to a management deal. Since then, Betsy has gone on to release her debut EP, “Fair,” which she followed up with her debut studio album, “Betsy,” which was released through Warner Bros. Her debut studio album peaked at number 90 on the UK charts and number 98 on the Scottish charts. Some of her most popular songs include “Lost and Found,” “Wanted More,” “Heartbeats,” and “Don’t You Stop.”.
