Aquilo is an English musical duo that consists of members Ben Fletcher and Tom Higham. Aquilo is based out of Silverdale, Lancashire, England, and the duo grew up together but were part of rivaling rock bands in their hometown. They both went their own way musically in different projects before they decided to form together to create Aquilo. After their formation, the duo decided to release their debut singles “You There,” “I Gave It All,” and “Losing You.” The single You There went on to be featured in BBC Radio 1’s playlist and was featured on their Best Of BBC Introducing Stage. The single was also played on the trailer for the film “Camp X-Ray.” That same year, Aquilo performed at the BBC Introducing stage at the Glastonbury Festival and also played at the Kendal Calling festival. They also released their debut self-titled EP. They then followed that up with EPs which included “Human,” “Calling Me,” and “Painting Pictures of a War,” before releasing their debut studio album, “Silhouettes,” which peaked at 64 on the UK Update charts. They have since released their second album, “ii,” and the EP “Sober.”.
