Animal Kingdom is a British alternative rock band that consists of the trio Richard Sauberlich, Hamish Crombie and Geoff Lea. The trio are based out of North London, United Kingdom, and they began their career under the name The Sofa Club before changing the name to Animal Kingdom. After their formation, Animal Kingdom released their debut studio album, “Signs and Wonders,” through Warner Music Group, which was recorded by Phil Ek. The debut studio album featured their debut singles, “Chalk Stars” and “Tin Man,” the latter of which was featured in iTunes Single of the Week and led them to be named iTunes Best New Alternative Act. After the growing fame from their debut album, Animal Kingdom went on to begin touring with bands which included Vampire Weekend, Band of Horses, Snow Patrol and Silversun Pickups. Their debut album was also featured in NME, The Fly, and in television series and films which included “Big Love” and “Never Let Me Go.” Since then, Animal Kingdom has released their second studio album “The Looking Away,” which featured the singles “Strange Attractor,” and “Get Away With It,” the latter of which was featured in video games FIFA 13 and Sleeping Dogs..
