Gabrielle Olivia Mirville, better known as her stage name, Abra, is an American singer-songwriter, record producer, and actress from Queens, New York. Abra was born into a family of missionaries and she moved to London at a young age where her parents built a church they went on to also work in. During her time in church, Abra found her love for singing and after living in London for nearly 10 years, Abra and her family moved to a suburb outside of Atlanta, Georgia. Shortly after, Abra began learning how to play the guitar and while in high school, she became a member of the school’s drama department. Abra began her musical career uploading covers of rap songs that she would perform acoustically onto the social media outlet, YouTube. This led her to gain attention of the rapper and founder of Awful Records, Father, who asked her to begin working with Awful Records to create her own original music. She then joined Awful Records and went on to release her debut EP, “BLQ Velvet.” That same year, Abra released her debut studio album, “Rose.” She has since gone on to release her second EP, “PRINCESS.” Abra currently has over 1.8 million monthly listeners on Spotify and her most popular songs include “Fruit,” which has over 17 million streams, “PULL UP,” which has over 12 million streams, and “Roses,” which has over 8 million streams.
