Sister Sparrow are a rock and soul band based out of Brooklyn, New York, that consists of members Arleigh Kincheloe, Jackson Kincheloe, Josh Myers, Dan Boyden, Phil Rodriguez, and Brian Graham. The band was formed by the brother and sister duo Arleigh and Jackson and the duo began performing music together while living between New York City and the Catskill Mountains. Arleigh was the writer of the songs and her brother Jackson played the harmonica. After years of working together they formed a band and began performing weekly at New York’s Rockwood Music Hall where they have a five-month residency. Shortly after, Sister Sparrow began working on their debut album which was entitled, “Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds” and was recorded in almost all of just one night. The album went on to be named one of the top Non-Jazz Favorites by All About Jazz and was featured in Independent Media Magazine. Two years after the release of their debut album, Sister Sparrow released their second album, “Pound of Dirt.” The following year they released the EP, “Fight,” which was recorded with Randy Jackson. They have since released two more studio albums, “The Weather Below” and “Gold.” Some of Sister Sparrow’s most popular songs include “Mama Knows,” “Catch Me If You Can,” “Sugar,” “Don’t Be Jealous,” and “Too Much.”.
