Leon Thomas III is an American actor, record producer, and singer-songwriter who rose to fame playing Andre Harris on the Nickelodeon television series “Victorious,” and for voicing Tyrone on the series “The Backyardigans.” Thomas was born in Brooklyn, New York, and he began his musical career after making his Broadway debut playing Young Simba in the production of ‘The Lion King.’ From there, he went on to play Jackie Thibodeaux in the Broadway production of ‘Caroline, or Change,’ and also appeared in the Broadway production of ‘The Color Purple.’ Moving from on stage to on screen, Thomas made his breakthrough playing Arthur in the film “August Rush.” Around the same time he also made his breakthrough in television in The Backyardigans. Since then, Thomas’ television credits have gone on to include “The Naked Brothers Band,” “True Jackson, VP,” “Figure It Out,” “Satisfaction,” and “Insecure.” His other film credits have included “Rising Stars,” “Bad Asses,” “Runaway Island,” and “Detroit.” As a musical artist, Thomas has released two mixtapes, “Metro Hearts” and “V1bes” and one EP, “Genesis.” As a producer and songwriter, Thomas has worked with artists which include Ariana Grande, Toni Braxton, Deborah Cox, Post Malone, Rick Ross, Drake, and G-Eazy.
