KAMAUU is an up-and-coming North-American singer and rapper was is based out of Brooklyn, New York. KAMAUU was born in Washington, D.C. and grew up in Prince George’s Country, Maryland. KAMAUU found his love for music as a child and studied at Ujamaa Shule in Washington where he learned about African instruments, culture, music, and history. He later moved to Brooklyn, New York, where he began studying film at Pratt Institute. While there, he became apart of the artist collective, BiGCiTYBiGCiTY where he learned more musical skills.
