Anna Lotterud, better known as her stage name, Anna of the North, is a Norwegian singer-songwriter from Gjovik, Norway, who is currently based out of Oslo, Norway. Anna began her career studying graphic design and then moved to Melbourne, Australia, where she met the producer Brady Daniell-Smith. After meeting Brady, the duo formed Anna of the North; with Anna on vocals and Brady as the producer of the melodies. After their formation, Anna of the North released the debut single, “Sway,” which immediately gained fame online and led her to be signed with Honeymoon. That same year, Sway was remixed by the popular DJ’s, The Chainsmokers. Anna of the North followed up her debut single with the singles “The Dreamer” and “Baby,” which led her to tour with Kygo. She also released two more singles; “Us” and “Oslo,” before releasing her debut studio album, “Lover,” which featured the lead single “Someone.” Through the popularity of her debut album, Anna went on to be featured on singles for Tyler, the Creator, and also performed alongside Tyler and Steve Lacy on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Shortly after, Brady left the group and Anna released her second album, “Dream Girl,” and has also released the EP “Believe.” Anna’s song Dream Girl was featured in an iPad Pro commercial and her single Lovers was featured in the Netflix film “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before.”.
