Sam Dew is an American singer-songwriter from Chicago, Illinois, who rose to fame after writing the hook to the single “LoveHate Thing,” which was performed by Wale. Dew began his musical career performing with the band Cloudeater before he broke off and began writing music for various artists which included Jessie Ware, Marsha Ambrosius, Rihanna, and Mary J.
