Nneka was born and raised in Warri, Nigeria, and she later moved to Hamburg, Germany, where she studied anthropology. During this time, Nneka began performing as a means to gain money for her studies. She first began to gain attention in the musical world after opening for Sean Paul. This led Nneka to begin recording music and she released her debut EP, “The Uncomfortable Truth,” and also released her debut studio album, “Victim of Truth,” the same year.
