Mona is an American alternative-rock band from Nashville, Tennessee, which was a project started by Nick Brown. Since the formation of Mona, the band has gone through a revolving cast of band members with only Nick Brown as the constant member. Brown began the band in Dayton, Ohio, before going on to move to Nashville. After they began performing, Mona appeared on BBC’s series “Later… with Jools Holland,” where they performed singles “Teenager,” “Listen to Your Love” and “Lines in the Sand.” That same year, Mona was longlisted for the BBC’s Sound of and were also featured on MTV Awards’ Brand New. The following year, Mona released the single “Shooting the Moon” as well as their self-titled debut studio album which peaked at number 39 on the UK charts and at number 20 on the US Heatseekers chart. Two years after the release of their debut album, Mona released their second album, “Torches and Pitchforks.” The band took about three years off before releasing the single “In the Middle.” They have since released their third studio album, “Solider On.”.
