Trigger Hippy is an American rock band that consists of members Steve Gorman, Nick Govrik, Ed Juri, and Amber Woodhouse. Steve Gorman has previously been the drummer for the Black Crowes and he formed the rock band as a collaboration with Nick Govrik and other local Nashville musicians. After they began performing together for a while, the band made their live debut at the Cox Capital Theatre at Macon, Georgia. Over the next few years the band went on to continue playing live shows all over the country and kept a rotating cast of band members which consistently featured Govrik and Gorman and they then began recording their debut album alongside members Joan Osborne, Jackie Greene, and Tom Bukovac. Shortly after, Trigger Hippy released their debut EP, “Back to Black Friday.” The following year they released their self-titled debut studio album through Rounder Records. The band then took a few years off before coming back with the current lineup.
