Lastlings are an Australian electronic-pop band from Gold Coast, Queensland, that consists of the duo Amy and Josh Dowdle whom are brother and sister. The Lastlings became a project while Amy was still in high school and Josh was studying biomedical science and working in the fashion field. After the duo decided to form a band, the Lastlings released their debut single, “Verona” and that same years they released two more singles, “Wavelength,” and “Chills,” all of which were featured on their debut EP, “Unreality.” Since then, Lastlings have released two EPs, “Verses,” and “Live Acoustic.” They have also recently released their debut studio album, “First Contact,” which peaked at number 89 on the Australian charts. Their debut album also features their most popular single to date, “Déjà vu,” which was on high rotation on triple j. Over the course of their career thus far, the Lastlings have performed at festivals which include Coachella, Spilt Milk, The Plot, and Splendour in the Grass.
