Kian is an Australian singer-songwriter from Castlemaine, Victoria, who is best known for his hit single, “Waiting,” which was previously featured at number 20 on Triple J’s Hottest 100 of the year. Kian grew up in a musical family and when he was only three years old he found himself traveling with his parents to make music in indigenous Australian communities. By the time he was only seven years old, Kian began learning how to play the guitar and later in life, he wrote and sang on Baker Boy’s single “Cloud 9,” which led him to pursue his own career. Kian then went on to release his debut single, “Too Far Gone” which featured Vince the Kid and followed that up with his second and breakthrough single, “Waiting,” which peaked at number 15 on the Australian chart and earned ARIA two-time platinum. The following year, Kian released his debut EP, “Bliss,” which featured the single “Childism,” which peaked at 34 on the New Zealand charts. Since the release of Bliss, Kian has released two singles, “Every Hour,” and “Sunbeam.” He has also been featured on Duckwrth’s single “Quick.” Kian has previously won Triple J Unearthed and has won two APRA Awards..
