Lillie Mae is an American country singer-songwriter, fiddle and guitar player who is based out of Nashville, Tennessee. Mae began performing music when she was only three years old and she began learning how to play the guitar at four and the fiddle at seven. She toured all over with her family before later settling in Nashville. While living in Nashville, Mae and her family began performing locally at the honky tonks under the name Jypsi. The band went on to sign with Arista Records and became known for the single “I Don’t Live You Like That.” Breaking out into her own career, Mae began doing session work for Third Man Records which led her to play the fiddle on tour with Jack White. She then began working on her solo career which led her to release her debut solo single, “Nobody’s,” through Third Man Records. The following year, Mae released her debut studio album, “Rain On the Piano.” Since the release of her debut album, Mae has gone on to release two more albums; “Forever and Then Some,” and “Other Girls,” the latter of which peaked at number 7 on the US Heatseekers chart. Mae has previously performed on the documentary “The American Epic Sessions,” which led her to perform alongside artists such as Dominic Davis, Fats Kaplin, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Taj Mahal, Steve Martin, and more. She has also previously performed on late night shows which include Conan and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert..
