JD Simo is an American guitarist, singer-songwriter, and producer who was previously a member of the rock band SIMO. Simo was born in Chicago, Illinois, and he began playing the guitar at only five years old. As a teenager, Simo formed a band and began recording and selling music in Phoenix, Arizona. Throughout his teenage years, Simo toured in various bands as well as a solo artist. He then later moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where he was the lead guitarist of the Don Kelley Band. He then began working as a session musician before focusing full-time on his work with the band SIMO, alongside Frank Howard Swart and Adam Abrashoff. SIMO was then signed with Mascot Label Group and over the course of his career with SIMO, the band released three albums which included; “SIMO,” “Let Love Show the Way” and “Rise and Shine.” The band also released an EP, “Love Vol. 1.” As a solo artist, Simo has released several albums over the years which include “One Night Stand,” “The Other Side of Me,” “Off at 11,” and “JD Simo.” Some of Simo’s most popular songs over the years have included “One of Those Days,” “Out of Sight,” “Sweet Little Angel,” “You Need Love,” and “Love.” After the release of his album Off at 11, Simo went on to tour with Tommy Emmanuel and The Allman Betts Band.
