Spio has previously earned her BSEE in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University and went on to earn her MSEE in Global Innovation Management, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology. Spio began her career working as a wideband and satellite communications technician for the United States Air Force in Germany. After leaving Boeing, Spio became founder and CEO of her first company, Gen2Media, which was an emerging leader in the digital media industry.
