The Aquadolls are an up-and-coming alternative-indie band from La Mirada, California that was founded by Melissa Brooks who performs on vocals and guitar and also consists of members Keilah Nina who plays the bass and Jackie Proctor who plays the drums. The Aquadolls began after Melissa was recording bedroom demos of her songs before forming a relationship with Burger Records who helped her to release The Aquadolls debut EP, “We Are Free.” The following year, The Aquadolls went on to release their debut studio album, “Stoked On You,” with Burger Records as well. A few years down the road, Brooks formed her own record label, Aqua Babe Records, and released her debut through the label, “Bleach 7,” which featured the singles “Bleach,” “Runaway,” and “Communicationissexy/idkhow2communicate.” Shortly after, Brooks added in current members Proctor and Nina and the trio then released the album “The Dream and the Deception.” The Aquadolls have gone on to open for artists and bands which include The Growlers, Cat Power, Weezer, Kate Nash, and SWMRS..
