The Rapture is an American rock band from New York City, New York, that performs a mixture of music that is indie rock, post-punk, dance-punk, and electronica. The Rapture currently consists of members Luke Jenner on lead vocals and guitar, Vito Roccoforte on drums and percussion, and Gabriel Andruzzi on keyboards, bass, saxophone and percussion. The band was started by Roccoforte and Jenner as they were childhood friends who started playing music together. The duo then moved to San Francisco and began performing locally together before going on to release their debut mini-album album, “Mirror.” With the release of Mirror, The Rapture decided to move to New York and shortly after, they released their debut EP, “Out of the Races and Onto the Tracks.” The following year, The Rapture released their single “House of Jealous Lovers,” which peaked at number 132 on the UK charts. Shortly after, The Rapture released their debut studio album, “Echoes,” which peaked in the charts of countries which included the UK, US, France, Scotland, and Sweden. Their debut album featured the singles “Love Is All,” and “Sister Saviour.” Since then, The Rapture has gone on to release two more studio albums, “Pieces of the People We Love,” and “In the Grace of Your Love.” Some of their other singles include “Get Myself Into It,” “Whoo! Alright – Yeah… Uh Huh,” and “How Deep Is Your Love.”.
