Jonathan Visger, who is part of the Michigan-based indie band Mason Proper, started Absofacto as a solo project back in 2008, when he released his first solo EP “Trilobite Trash”. He was also known as Bug Lung Baby for a bit, which is the name he sued to release his debut EP’s. In 2011, he released “Kiko” as well as his first full-fledged album “Sinking Islands” and in 2013, he released “Loners: Vl. 1” under his own name, Visger. In 2015, Visger released the single “Dissolve” which hit number one onf the U.S. alternative charts and number three on the U.S. rock charts. The song went certified Platinum, partially thanks to TikTok when it resurfaced a while later. It was in 2017 when he finally adopted the name Absofacto and signed with the label Atlantic Records. Since then, he’s released eight singles, all of which received positive acclaim and further grew his adoring fanbase. Absofacto was also featured on the track “Trouble” by The Knocks in 2017 for their “Testify” EP..
